Our Story
Saltwater stewardship

Wear what you already believe.

Tidebreak is a small-run apparel label built for people who take the ocean personally. Every piece is printed to order, in runs of fewer than 200, on recycled cotton, with a 1% pledge to the marine non-profit in the bay it shipped from. The mission is not a sidebar — it is the production model.

Where it started

A borrowed boat. A loud point of view.

Tidebreak started on a borrowed long-tail boat in a quiet bay. We were divers and drifters who got tired of generic beach-aesthetic merch — the souvenir soft tee, the palm-tree print you outgrew by the second wash — and figured ocean-minded shoppers deserved a wearable stance on saltwater stewardship, not a souvenir.

So we built one. A four-SKU capsule, screen-printed in small runs, on recycled cotton, by suppliers we name on the inside label of every garment. Whatever does not sell routes to a marine non-profit, not into landfill. The imagery is the cause. The apparel is the brief.

The model, in three lines

  • Print-on-demand. Nothing is made until it is paid for.
  • Small runs. Capsules of fewer than 200 pieces.
  • A named 1% pledge. Routed to the marine non-profit in the bay it shipped from.
Who it is for
Three archetypes

Three kinds of saltwater.

Tidebreak is not built for everyone. It is built for the people the ocean already means something to — the ones who swim in it, follow it, or refuse to lose it.

  • Breathe in, breathe out, take a side.

    Divers

You log bottom time the way other people log hours. You know the species on the reef by first name, and you have watched them shift north as the water warms. Tidebreak is the apparel that names the cause you already train for — sustainably-made, small-run, with a 1% pledge routed to a marine non-profit in the bay it shipped from.

  • Coastlines, repeatedly.

    Drifters

You move with the season — a winter in the cove, a summer up the coast, a working week wherever the tide is right. Your wardrobe has to keep up without becoming more landfill. Every Tidebreak capsule prints on demand in runs of fewer than 200, using recycled cotton and GOTS-certified dyes, so nothing is made for the bin.

  • The ocean is the brief.

    Saltwater souls

You may not log dives, but the shoreline is where you do your best thinking. You want the same ocean you swim in to be the ocean your children swim in. Tidebreak hands you a wearable stance on saltwater stewardship — the cause and the imagery are the same thing, not a sticker on a souvenir.
